General Information
The FIFTEENTH ANNUAL HORSE DAY SYMPOSIUM will be held on Saturday and
Sunday, October 14-15, 2000. Once again we are pleased to offer an exciting and excellent
program for your educational enjoyment.
The Sat. program will be held in the Main Theater, which is located on
Hutchison Dr. on the east side of the UC Davis campus. Parking is available in Lots 5A and
5 at the corner of A Street and Old Davis Road and in Lot 10 on the corner of First and A
Streets. There is no charge for parking. On-site registration will begin at 7:00 a.m.
Please be aware that this program may be too technical for people under the age of 12. The
Sun. program will be held at the Horse Barn.
Registration fee includes all course materials and break
refreshments. Pre-registration (mail-in) is $20.00 ($15.00 ea. for a group of 10 or more)
for the Horse Day, Oct. 14 and $50 or $150 for the Farrier Workshop on Oct 15. Lunch is
available for $5.00 each both days. Deadline for pre-registration is October 5, 2000. NO
refunds will be given after October 8, 2000. Registration at the door is $25.00. Lunch
will not be available for purchase at the door.
Demonstration or Tour
Following the lecture program, a Training for Reining Demonstration will be presented
at the Animal Science Horse Barn Arena. Buses to the arena will be available. The arena is
also within walking or driving distance. Parking is available in Lots 46 and 47 (see map).
Alternatively, a tour is available of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital
(VMTH)
and the Center for Equine Health. There is no charge for this tour but pre-registration is
required and space is limited to the first 100 people.
